FXR, FXRT, FXRP, FXRD, FXRECT..... Parts.

I'm always on the look out for FXR parts. I'm looking for FXRT bags and Fairing to put on my 92.

If anybody happens to know of someone or be that someone who has HD Factory FXR parts they want to sell for a REASONABLE price let me know. Stock stuff is better for me, but I will consider anything. The worst I can say is NO.

Roadside heard I was looking for guages for my '82 FXR build.

So he went digging through his stash for me.

He dropped them off at Ian's last month while he was up in SC.

I was able to pick them up last week.

Damn these are nice.

Front end fun.

Chrome covers suck!! They add weight, rattle, and usually look cheesy. They also hide damage and stupid modifications. Since I am waiting on parts to come in. I figured it was a good time to rebuild the front end.

More parts for the pile.

Some jack ass cut the headlight visor mounts off the top tree so they could install a chrome cover.

The lower tree is missing a fork stop and the other one is cracked and almost gone.

I think one has been sourced from the pile o' parts at Gear Head Cycles.

The neck bearings were almost dry, but still in good shape.

A 39mm front will be in future plans.

Coming soon.

I will be there and I think The Bad Monkey will too.

              Gearhead sent this pic of the new side covers he picked up at the swap meet this weekend.

A little windex and a quick wipe down was all it needed.

This was the first time I have walked away with a few parts in a long time because:
One - We didn't have a booth to get back to.
Two - I had a few bucks to spend.
Three - I was looking for specific parts.
Four - Nobody was looking for the shit I wanted.
                                   
I walked away with a few bits for current projects and future projects. All in all it was a good day. The gentlemen from Bad Monkey, Gearhead, and Judgemental all walked away with a few gems. Cant wait until next time.

Kojack found this early FXR oil tank in a bunch of parts he scored. Being the nice guy that he is he gave it to this FXR junkie that he knows. Whoo hoo. Dirty grease things. FUCKING SWEET.

Oh Yeah. See that black flashlight. I used to have a green one. Until, some crazed Gearhead tackled me at a roadside taco stand. Yelling " Green Precious, it has to be mine." He ripped mine out of the holster and threw this one at me as he ran away. It does have new batteries. He was a werido.
