Wrenching on the '82.

I'm still scrambling around looking through boxes trying to find shit. So, it takes me twice as long to get anything done. No heat, dim lighting, and sitting on that cold ass concrete doesn't help either. Still I'm happy as hell to be wrenching again!!!!!!!!

Mid - control brake side done. A little hardware and the shifter side will be complete too.

Stock 13" shocks make it look like a dirt bike for now.
Just need to get the fuel tank lower and mounted.

Loosing weight.

With a place to work, it's time to get wrenching.

Off with the old fat bob tank, forward controls and short ass shocks.

Last year "EDDIE WENT"

Order out of Chaos!

Finally, a new storage unit that is big enough to get some work done on MY shit.

I still have to move one more tool box from Sprayberry Studios, but I have room for it now.
A big "THANKS" to Kevin and Mike for the help moving tool boxes and bikes.

Time to get to work on the 82' FXRS!

It's winter.

Winter on the North shore of Hawaii means the arrival of big surf and The EDDIE.

The EDDIE is a big wave contest in memory of Eddie Aikau a legendary Hawaiian surfer, lifeguard, and all around water man. I can't wait to see if "Eddie Goes" this year.

For more info on the event, it's history, and the man go to.  http://theeddie.quiksilver.com/

Econo Line

Gray drove his new to him  1963 E-line down to the meet.
I think we need to do a E-line shoot out with him and Ron.

Holy City Vintage Swap Meet and Block Party!

It was cold, cloudy, and raining.
The event was small and a little unorganized.
There were a few cool bikes there.

Cool Penton. You really don't see a lot of these. Dig those
monstor size head fins.

Wanna be So-Cal Pan #1

Wanna be So-Cal Pan #2

This Norton looks like it is fun to ride.

New motor for Pappy.

Headed to SC this past weekend. First stop was at Jacks.

We dropped in his re-manufactured motor then celebrated with chocolate chip muffins.

The Jeep FC

Back in January, I posted a pic of an unusual truck with the Jeep name on it.
Bad Monkey said " It looks like a e-line pick-up on steroids."
This week I found out what it was.

The Jeep FC (Forward Control) made by Willys then by Kaiser Jeep from 1956 to 1965.

They made several models of the truck.
Both civilian and military models were made.

Including a van.

From a dump truck to an ambulance. It did it all.

Yep, you guessed it. I want one. Come on lotto!

Grocery shopping on 2 wheels.

A few weeks ago my truck was in Florida and I was in NC.
I was riding my 92 FXRS to get around.
Of course it was cold and raining, plus I needed food at my apartment.
The looks from the cagers and other shoppers were worth it.
Life is always better on two wheels.

Speaking of my beautiful Ford Dually.

In December of 2001, I took delivery of my first and only NEW ride.
A 2002 FORD F-350, 4 door, 8 foot bed, 7.3 turbo diesel, 2 wheel drive dually.
Well, she just passed the 200,000 mile mark, and is still going strong!
Bill had the truck and snapped this pic when she hit the mark.
Thanks Bill.
And Thanks to my Ford.

Winter is here!

And like every year about this time I start wishing I had a Jeep.
My truck sucks in the snow and on anything that is not concrete or asphalt.

So I start dreaming of CJ5s, CJ6, CJ7s, CJ8s ( also known as the Scrambler), and most Military Jeeps.

So for the next few months be prepared to look at a few jeep pics.
Anyone know where one is for sale cheap?

December 7th.
