The Dragon Lady's Legs.

Little Sister checks in from Texas with more progress on the "Dragon Lady".

Before pic. Nasty!

Now the fun part. Smoothing out the lowers.
I bet this was fun, easy, and took no time at all.

Ready for paint.

Some times Black is beautiful.

Leg is the air for reassembly.

New neck bearings.

New oil. Well this is the oil shit being pumped out but, you get the idea.

New set of carbs that are complete and not fucked up.
Way to go Sis. Can't wait to see the completed pics.
Keep the updates coming.

Charlotte CBA Swap Meet.

Once again the crew gathered for a weekend of deal hunting, part slinging, and a good time at the customers expense. Looks like this may be the last time we will be vendors there. Everybody is running out of parts that they are will to sell from their stash.

Kevin looking for a way to get out of talking to Spiderman (in the doo rag).
Anyone need a 1978 CB750? $500 with good compression and no title.

The Skunk Ape checks in from...

Washington D.C.?

Joe spyed this on the streets of DC while on vacation.
Not sure but I think it's a Honda Rebel.

Jamie checks in from Florida.

With a picture of a 1968 Kaiser M715 that his buddy just picked up last weekend.
Price was around a grand.

Blade score!!!!

Working on a chuck box for camping this year.
A chuck box is kind of like a mobile kitchen.

Kristen scored these for free while I was away. There are enough blades to equip Kevin's chuck box as well.

These are a little unusual. Not sure who made them or what they are for.
The tips are not broken, they were made that way.

Logo on blade. The only other markings I can find are Molybdenum Japan.
I am having a hard time finding any info on these.
If you know drop me a line or comment here.

South Florida.

Since I was going to be in Daytona. It would be a good time to head another 240 miles south and take care of some business and see some friends.

My home in South Florida.

You can't beat accommodations like this. Fridge full of booze, couch to sleep on, pool table, tv, music, and a pisser out back (tree).

Marley the 100lb plus yellow lab and expert lizard hunter. Marley loves to jump in the pool, walk through the nearest sand, then jump on you for some scratching.
Watch your white shirts.

I was blown away when Bill and Pat showed up. It has been about 5 years since the three of us have been together.

The weather at night was just cool enough for a fire.
We stayed up till 3am catching up.

Marley couldn't take it and crashed out on my bed.

Dr. Zoidburg is now 2 and getting huge!!!

A BIG Thanks!! to:
Joe and family for letting me crash out at there place.
Bill and Pat for coming out to see me.
Dave and Jake for stopping by to hang out and pick up the engine hoist.
Bill McGraw for lunch.

Sorry I couldn't see everyone. I needed to get back for work.
Unfortunately, the work offer was a bust and I should have stayed a few more days.

Bike Week Stop #2

Left Willie's about 1pm. I headed down to Port Orange to see the Canadians John and Nancy.
I spent the rest of the day catching up with them and eating lunch and dinner with them.

It was after 11pm by the time I hit the road to head south.

John's Sportster. He's had it since it was new and it is a trip.
Nancy had hit a Cadalliac the day before . Since she bent her springer they had loaded it up by the time I got there. It was good the see them.

Willies Tropical Tattoo Chopper Show.

3:30pm Wed, I decided I need to get out of town. An hour and a half later, I was south bound.
Thursday morning I made it over to Tropical Tattoo to surprise some friends and check out the show.

9am the lot was empty, but it filled up fast.

Read about this bike on another blog. Looks good Marty.
I tried, but he wouldn't give me the keys.

Not in the show, but close by.

Hard to tell by the picture, but this green and black Ford was slick.

Saw this on a Sportster chop.

I tried but, just couldn't get a good pick of that FXR someone parked an Indian in front of it.

Sign of the times?

10am the lot was full!

It was hard to get shots of all the cool builds there.

Still there a year later.

Fab Kevin, Brew Dude, and Bill Dodge made the show.
Even met Ed Winterhaven author of Out in Bad Standing.

It was good to catch up with Roadside and Kat for a few hours.
See you in June guys.

Am I going?

Daytona Bike Week is this week. More important is the chopper show at Tropical Tattoo.

Not sure if I'm gonna make it this year. It's about a 8 to 9 hour ride and I'm still just thinking about it.
Guess we'll just have to see.

Parts Needed.

Little Sister is looking for a set of rear shocks for her "Dragon Lady" project. It's a 1980 KZ 650. Stock shocks are 13" eye to eye. She's looking for a set that is 1" to 2" shorter than stock. A good set of short springs may work as well.

It's supposed to be a Koi.

Working on a few leather projects that I want to carve images into.
Then it hit me. I can't draw!!!!
Not too bad for the first try, but I have a long way to go.

Say it ain't so!

Florida Op. Joe aka The Skunk Ape has done the unthinkable.

Yep, sold the Wide Glide and purchased a Road Glide!

Well, if I had to have a HD Bagger the Road Glide would be the one I would choose.
Well it would be my second choice, a FXRT would be first.

3-11

Remembering those who helped.

Is it dusty in here?

Florida checks in.

Florida Op Jake checks in.

To celebrate his BIG 1-0 B-Day, Jake chartered a boat to
take he and his buddies fishing.

Jake and Zack with the Dolphin they caught for dinner.
I'll have mine blackened with a squeeze of lemon.

Don't let his age fool you. I've been fishing with this young man several times.
He's a serious fisherman and is growing up to be a real young man.

Happy Birthday Buddy!
